2002
Lingorski, V. (Research Institute of Mountain Stockbreeding and Agriculture, 5600 Troyan (Bulgaria))
The dry matter content and dry matter allocation during the growing season of some foreign (from New Zeland) temperate grasses and pasture grass-legume mixture, cultivated by soil-climatic conditions of Troyan foothill region during the period 1993-1998, was studied. The biggest dry matter content of the forage had in the end of growing season-from 24.59% to 26.05% to 30.44% respectively. An even distribution of the accumulated dry mass in the forage wsas allocated comparatively equally only in first three cuts as follows:in 1-st -from 21.9% to 25.0% to 25.0% of annual production;in 2-sd from 21.2% to 24.9% and in 3-nd-from 19.0% to 21.7%,respectively and after that decreased in 4 and 5 harvestings. The sown grass cultivars as monocultures and grass-legume mixture had comparativelly a big swards part to the last year of investigation and reached within 70.1%-80.0%.
