[Analysis of final hybrids' slaughter value]

The lean meat content (LMC) was evaluated in 155 randomly selected slaughter pigs in South Bohemia (Czech Republic). The pigs were then classified according to the SEUROP classification system. The average LMC was 54,32 % and the average slaughter weight 112.05 kg. Almost 42 % of carcasses were classified in the S or E class. LMC as well as the proportion of the major lean meat cuts decreased as the carcass weight increased, i.e. from the S to the R class. The best LMC (53.59 %) was achieved in carcasses weighing between 90 and 99.9 kg.
