Measurement of Estonian forests from medium resolution satellite scenes

A map of Estonian forests was compiled and forested areas were estimated from snow-covered winter scenes. Satellite Landsat Mapper scanner images were used. Satellite images from May 2000 were used to classify forest clearcur areas
