Seed and seedling characteristics of 23 hybrids were evaluated. This study aims to assess the differences among and between hybrid and inbred rice. The authors report the differences observed among the entries for the various parameters gathered such as seed length, width and shape, seedling weight, leaf area and vigor index. The advantages of hybrids over inbreds with regard to the traits evaluated were also discussed
