Heavy metals contents in bottom sediments in Krempna's reservoir

The heavy metals existing in the environment in excessive concentration make a threat for all organisms. This work concerns the analysis of the trace elements contents in bottom sediments taken from the barrier reservoir in Krempna. The basic physical and chemical properties together with the content of heavy metals and mercury in sediments were studied. The obtained results allow to state, that the analysed sediments are not contaminated and heavy metals concentration remains at the natural values level
