Fixation of potassium in soils was determined by the method of incubation with increasing doses of K in the laboratory studies. The changes in availability of the introduced potassium resulting from the soil liming were estimated paralelly. Sorption of potassium in the examined soil samples ranged from 13 to 86 percent. The tendency to enlarged non-exchangeable bonds of manure potassium in soils limed was observed. The significant correlation was found between fixation of potassium with exchangeable Ca+2, values of sorption complex saturation with bases, content of Ca and Mg soluble and total CEC
