The research concerned the triticale, Gabo variety, cultivated on light soil. The moisture content was determined by oven drying method in soil samples taken from soil profile at the depth to 0.6 m. Significant influence on spring triticale yielding showed nitrogen fertilization and water availability for plants. The significant increase in yield was caused by fertilizing 120 kg N/ha. Under conditions of light soil high yields of spring triticale were provided by soil moisture content at the level of 60-65 percent maximum water capacity. Intensity of nitrogen fertilization and water availability for plants significantly increased the content and uptake of nitrogen in grain and straw of spring triticale
