In the years 1996-98 an experiment was conducted in a multiple scheme, whose object was Sida hermaphrodita R. The experimental factors included the following: 1 - kind of subsoil (grey brown podzolic soil - at the Experimental Station of Felin, and post-sewage sediment from the Sewage Treatment Plant of Hajdow); 2 - amount of seeding with sowing rates of 3, 6 or 9 kg/ha. The results point at a certain inhibition of the growth and development of Sida hermaphrodita R. on post-sewage sediment, especially in the third year of cultivation, which caused a lower yield of stems (7 t/ha of dry mass) obtained in those on mineral soil (10 t/ha of dry mass). The highest yields of stems were achieved by way of increasing the amount of seeding from 3 to 9 kg of seeds per 1 ha (9 t/ha of dry mass)
