A little known woody plant, from the family Rosaceae which rather common application is described. It can be used as a nurse tree in field and road side planting with trees. It should be planted in woods and parks due to beautiful flowers and fruit for birds. Planted in gardens, it can give edible fruit of medicinal properties. Its fruit are fitted for fruit preserves. Flowers, fresh and preserved fruit and leaves can be used in home herbal medicine for throat and alimentary tract treatment. The fruit have antisclerotic properties and are effective at avitaminosis. The plant is easy to propagate from seeds and also vegetatively by root offsets. It can be grafted and budded to hawthorne and service trees. Then it does not produce root offsets and is easy to train to a little tree
