2001
Jankowski, M. (University of Nicholas Copernicus, Torun (Poland). Dept. of Soil Science)
The aim of the paper is to present the results of investigations of iron-enriched soils in dune areas of the Torun Basin. The soils under study developed in small, closed, intra-dune depressions, without any influence of ground water. The main soil-forming process is allochtonic enrichment with products of weathering and leaching of Podzols developed on dune slopes. Comparing with surrounding Podzols intra-dune soils show higher contents of organic carbon and various pedogenic forms of iron and aluminium
