Five statistical models were used to study the results of field tests of bee queens. The effests of the environmentand genotypes were estimated. Breeding queens were better in some traits but most of the traits connected directly with the productivity were better in the control queens. In the native bees a higher variability was observed. An experimental season considerably influenced all of the traits, excluding overwintering ability. The honney yield and traits connected with the colony strength were also influenced by the interactions season x group of bees. The type of mathing influenced productivity but also showed interactions with the adequate season. Hybrid-bees were more resistant and stable whereas pure-breed bees were more variatable and aggresive in relation to environmental factors. Usefull of the control group seems to be doubtful
