The results show that in all the soils under study there was: a high level of microbial biomass in the conditions of maximum early summer and autumn, and dominating amount of bacteria in microflora. It was also noted that the activity of soil enzymes and metabolic potential of microorganisms are correlated to a lesser degree with the content of microbial biomass. Apart from that, many highly significant correlations were found between the amount and activity of microorganisms and soil properties, especially pH, the amount of organic matter and the nutrient content
