2001
Jadczuk, E. | Pietranek, A. | Dziuban, R. (Warsaw Agricultural University (Poland). Dept.of Pomology and Basic Natural Sciences in Horticulture)
Apple quality was investigated from 1996-2000. A significant increase in yield was found as an effect of K fertilization. During the seven-year period the best results were obtained after annual doses of 200 kg K2O/ha. In general, the yield from trees on M.9-EMLA was higher than on other rootstocks. The rootstocks effect on the firmness of the fruit of Katia apple trees was observed only in the years 1996-98. The yield was higher as a result of irrigation - on average by 8.8 percent. Irrigation had no consistent effect on colour index and fruit firmness
