Experience gained on measurements in water supply systems: preparation and execution

Expressed in the modern water domain terminology, this article has a goal to present an authors' experience in the field of "sustainable" measurements in hydraulics. "Sustainable" in the means of ways how the measurement are prepared and executed according to conditions and limitations in real life and working environment. Institute where authors work has a certain equipment which are available and capable for the laboratory and field measurements. In the first part of this paper, the phases in measurement preparation and executing are presented, based on own experience, enlighten in good and bad. The second part of paper coveres three case studies, from field measurements conducted during last two years.
