This paper discusses the results of an analysis performed to determine the influence of birth type (goat that gave birth to a single kid - group 1 (428 goats) and goats that gave birth to twins - group 2 (141 goats)) on the milking capacity traits and the milk fat content in the domestic Balkan goat. It was concluded that the length of the lactating period in both groups was 233.20 and 242.09 days respectively, while the average milk quantity was 166.49 and 188.63 kg, respectively. The results of analyzing variants showed that the birth type had a significant statistical influence (P0.001) on all of the milking capacity traits examined in the domestic Balkan goat. However, the difference in the average content of milk fat found in the goats with twins (3.77%) and that found in the goats with one kid (3.66%) was not statistically significant (P0.05). Goats that gave birth to twins gave 11.33% more milk than those giving birth to a single kid.
