The heavy metals content in noncarbonate chernozems spread in Ovce Polje [The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia]

The investigation for content of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Co, Cu and Zn) in noncarbonate chernozems of Ovce Polje (The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) showed that there is not an anthropogenic pollution. The content of heavy metals in the soil showed that it is under maximum allowed concentration (Pb is average 10.98 mg/kg, Cd is 0.96, Co is 16.84, Cu is 25.02, and Zn is 39.17 mg/kg), and there is conditions for production of ecologically healthy food.
