Analysis of mechanical characteristics of milking socks at various loads

Mechanical characteristics were analyzed of old and new milking socks. During the experiment, the socks were subjected to different loads. Insensibility zones were established wherein the socks only slightly react to mechanical impact. Outside these zones, the linear deformation of milking socks is clearly expressed and increasing with load increase. Deformation trends with new milking socks and socks with already utilized operational resource are clearly different. These may be used as a diagnostic index for assessment of milking sock fitness.
