Model for optimizing the structure of vegetable production
2004
Krasnic, T.
In order come to optimizing the structure of vegetable production, the classical method of linear programming used. Optimizing the structure of vegetable modification and raw consuming was regulated by conditions for irrigation. Optimizing certain models was performed on the basis of net income which define efficiency of vegetable production. Concerning the effectiveness (the value of production and net income), for better results were made with models for optimizing vegetable production in the conditions of irrigation for raw consuming, compared to optimal model for industrial modification, due to the greater number of independantly variable lines of vegetable production in the mentioned model. Considerably smaller effectiveness resulted within the optimal model of vegetable production for industrial modification due to undeveloped technology of vegetable modification (Swiss chard, white radish, kale, etc.). The model indicated and better cost-effectiveness, i.e. efficiency, is indicated by the optimal vegetable production for raw consuming, compared to the model for industrial modification due to the same reasons mentioned in the description of indicators of effectiveness. Both model options were processed within three terms of seed and sowing-time, with different percentual participation of certain groups of vegetables with the maximal application of modern technology according to the principles of annual and seasonal succession of crops and maximal soil exploitation, with perserving their fertility and structure with appliance of natural fertilizers.
