Organizational and economic properties of fruit production applying new technologies

Vegetable production is one of the most intensive use of soil, because it gives possibilities for a few time changing crops in a year. In our country participation of vegetable production is a relatively small. Much more vegetables are in the farms than at the agricultural enterprises. Also, characteristics of vegetable production in our country are: relatively small number of kinds, small percentages of irrigated soil, relatively small area of production in green houses, reduced technology of production, low yields, low market orientation and low level of finalization, even there are capacity of processing. At the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture the mutual scientific team work at the national project for improvement of vegetable production and processing technology. In this paper are given some results of this project as vegetable production analysis, production structure optimalization model, and expected economical effects of new technology of vegetable production.
