Mineralogical components in water in the area of the city of Novi Sad [Serbia, Serbia&Montenegro]

This paper presents the analysis of mineralogical components which are present in the water in the area of the city of Novi Sad (Serbia, Serbia&Montenegro). Using the methods of X-ray and thermal analysis types of present minerals and their percentage content in solid residuals of water samples from city waterworks, wells, river Danube and Danube-Tisza-Danube canal system, were determined. Composition of land in the water resource area were also determined. It was pointed out at the influence of identified minerals on water characteristics which are important for its usage and impact on human health.
