Twenty-one types of stored seed samples (mainly vegetable and grass seeds) were analysed for the presence of arthropods. Five Psocoptera and 14 Acarina species were found. Acarus siro was the dominant mite pest from all aspects, i.e. frequency, abundance, seed diversity infestation. Tyrophagus putrescentiae, Tarsonemus granarius and Lepidoglyphus destructor were other frequently found species. Cheyletus eruditus was the dominant predatory mite, while Lepinotus patruelis was the most frequent psocid pest.
