Monosomic wheat-barley additions were developed by twice backcrossing wheat (Triticum aestivum L. cv. Chinese Spring) x barley (Hordeum vulgare L. cv. Betzes) hybrids with winter wheat genotypes (Asakaze komugi, Martonvasari 9 kr1). One 44-chromosome disomic addition line was found among the selfed progeny of the 43-chromosome plants.
