PGG 616 guinea grass : A promising variety

PGG 616 guinea grass showed increase in green forage yield (473,7 q/ha), dry-matter yield (109.3 q/ha), protein yield (12.49 q/ha), and forage yield (60.3%) when compared with national checks viz. PGG 617, PGG 9, and PGG 14 guinea grasses. PGC 616 guinea grass is highly resistant to diseases, insect and pests.
