The objective of the research is to carry out the strategic evaluation of the influencing external and internal factors in meat and meat production market. For attaining this objective I have used the element of strategic planning - SWOT analysis. The relevant factors of strategic space or external environment have appointed in the result of the research. They operate on meat and meat production market in Latvia positively or obstructively. The major external factor of positive action is the possibilities of market expansion, which develops strong points of the market and reduces the effect of disadvantages.
