Findings showed that after three hours of rumen incubation, flemingia, gliricidia, and leucaena had lower (P0.05) dry matter digestibility (DMD) values than those of binunga, anubing, and malaipil. Binunga had the highest DMD (33.68%) over the same period, followed by anubing (28.41%), and malaipil (22.35%). The dry matter (DM) of gliricidia and leucaena degraded faster (P0.05) than that of anubing, binunga, flemingia, and malaipil after six hours wherein gliricidia had the highest (P0.05) degradation (57.40%), followed by leucaena (40.68%), binunga (31.51%), flemingia (30.33%), anubing (29.42%), and malaipil (24.29%). After 72 hours of incubation, gliricidia had the highest (P0.05) DMD values among the six species, while flemingia and malaipil attained the least (50%) DMD values. The mean crude protein solubility (CPD) of flemingia and binunga was significantly higher (P0.05) compared to that of other species during the first three hours of incubation, while those of gliricidia and leucaena were the least degraded. The CP content of gliricidia was rapidly degraded during the six-hour period of incubation and continuously increased in the succeeding incubation periods, similar to that with the other fodder species except for anubing, which had the least CPD value. After 72 hours of incubation, the CPD values of gliricidia, binunga, and leucaena exceeded 50% while anubing, flemingia, and malaipil had 50% CPD. The washing loss (a) for DM had the highest value in gliricidia and was significantly different from that of flemingia but similar with that of leucaena and malaipil. In terms of effective degradability (ED), the DM in gliricidia was highly degraded, while that in leucaena was the least degraded. In contrast with CPD, the a fraction of all the fodder species was not significantly different (P0.05) while the b fractions (water insoluble fraction) significantly differed (P0.05). The CP in gliricidia was effectively degraded in the rumen compared to that in leucaena, flemingia, and malaipil
