A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of seedling height (4, 6, 8 and 10 cm), levels of potash (0, 80, 90, 100 and 110 kg ha-1) and their interaction on tomato at the Agricultural Research Station (North), Mingora, Swat, during summer 2002. Maximum number of fruits per plant (19.29) and per kg (26.33) was recorded] at 0 level of potash. Maximum weight per picking (3.86 t ha-1) and yield (19.31 t ha-1) were recorded at 90 kg ha-1 level of potash. Maximum number of fruits per plant (20.06) and per kg (25.43) was recorded at 4 cm seedling height. Maximum weight per picking (3.94 t ha-1) and yield (19.72 t ha-1) was recorded at 10 cm seedling height. The interaction between different seedling heights and levels of potash showed significant effect on number of fruits per kg, weight per picking and yield. Maximum number of fruits per kg (30.12) was recorded at 4 cm seedling height and 0 level of potash. Maximum weight per picking (4.47 t ha-1) and yield (22.35 t ha-1) was recorded at the interaction of 10 cm seedling height and 90 kg ha-1 level of potash.
