2002
Khan, M.A. (Agriculture Research Inst., Sariab, Quetta (Pakistan). Agriculture Chemistry Section)
A green house study was conducted at Agriculture University Peshawar to find out the critical level of zinc for the best performance and hence yield of 15 different soil series of Peshawar-NWFP valley. The study revealed that the critical level of zinc in fifteen soil series with Ammonium Bi-carbonate Di- ethylene-Tri-amine-Penta-acetic Acid (AB-DTPA) method using graphical and statistical method was found to be 1.00 and 1.01 mg.kg-1 respectively with an average of 1.005 mg.kg-1. Using the same methods, the critical level of zinc in plant was found to be 42.5 and 44.0 mg.kg-1 respectively with an average of 43.25 mg.kg-1.
