The yield and quality of seeds of spring rape (Brassica napus var. oleifera F. annua), yellow lupin (Lupinus luteus L.) and narrow-leaved lupin (Lupinus angustifolius L.) depending on the pesticides used
2003
Adomas, B.
The experiments were conducted in 1995-99 on spring rape cv. Lisonne and Star, and in 1999-00 on yellow lupin cv. Markiz and Teo and narrow-leaved lupin cv. Polonez and Sonet. Their aim was to determine the effects of herbicides on the yield and quality of spring rape seeds, and the efefects of desiccants on lupin seeds. The effectiveness of herbicides varied over the experimental period. The results obtained show that Triflurotox 250 and Butisan 400 SC caused an increase of the fat content of rape seeds, regardless of its variety. The herbicides used did not effect the total protein content, the level of phytine phosphorus, phenolic compounds or macroelements (P, K, Mg), or the fatty acids profile in oil obtained from spring rape seeds, yields of fat and protein, as well as a higher content of protein and glucosinolates in seeds
