The aim of this paper was to compare the yield of undersown crops sowed into spring barley for green manure. The highest yields of fresh and dry matter from the 1st and from the 2nd cut of undersown crops were obtained from the mixture of red clover with italian ryegrass. The mixture was characterised by the highest share of main matter in the yield and the lowest share of weeds and of barley. The crops of pulses were characterised by the highest content of total protein
