The aim of this paper was to specify the subsequent influence of the after-harvest residues of undersown crops applied in table potato cultivation. From among investigated combinations of undersown crops, the highest content of organic matter was put into the soil by after-harvest residues of Italian ryegrass and the mixture of pulses with Italian ryegrass, and the lowest by residues of pulses. The highest yields of fresh matter of tubers were obtained from objects fertilized with residues of pulses with Italian ryegrass, which totally substituted farmyard manure in potato fertilization
