Speka, S.S.
Outlined are breeding and genetic principles of creating the cattle's Polissya meat breed (PMP) involving a method of combined recurrent crossing based on the initial genotypes, in particular the Chernihiv (ChM-1) and Trans-Dnieper (PM-1) ones, that is the maternal part and bulls of the Znamyanka type created. Disclosed is the information as follows: a method to create the breed; the main zootechnical and morphophysiological parameters of the animals belonging to the new breed; technologies and animal rearing and feeding systems. Attention is drawn to the large role of environment in the variability, evolution and adaptation while referring to the works of the authors as follows: Ch. Darvin (1868), A. Severtsev (1922), K. Timiryazev (1937), M. Ivanov (1925), D. Kislovsky (1928) et al. It is noted that the long-term breeding under the influence of specific ecological factors forms in the animals a proper bodily constitution and physiological special features. While being historically in the close interdependence on the environment, domestic animals (breeds) are isolated into biological forms as the proper ecological type
