Status, causes and schedude of vaccine use to effectively control Gumboro disease in meat productive chicken flocks
2002
Truong Quang
Although farmer households applied vaccine to control Gumboro disease at chicken age of 1-10 days, the disease still occurred at rate of 58-88 percent of total flocks. It is possibly due to low passive immunological resistance to Gumbors of chicken. To effectively control the disease, it is advisable to give chicken two vaccine administrations at ages of 7 and 14 days, and if three vaccine administrations at ages of 1,7 and 14 days, infested rate is only 13-21 percent of total flocks.
