Assessment of economic and ecological effectiveness of forest plantations in the Northeast region

A study was carried out in Tuyenquang province in order to assess the effectiveness of the different models of plantations on point view of economy as well. Objects of the assessment were the plantation different types, mainly: (+) Homogeneous Manglietia glauca plantation. (+) Homogeneous Styrax plantation (+) Homogeneous Eucalypts plantation. (+) Manglietia glauca mixed with Acacias plantation. (+) Eucalypts mixed with Styrax plantation. Conclusions were made as following: (+) Economical effectiveness does not always coincide with ecological one. (+) Homogeneous plantation with Manglietia glauca in combination with rice crops could be the ecologically effective model.
