Lysimeter experiment was conducted to compare recoveries of nitrogen fertilizer in the forms of ammonium, nitrate and urea for corn in a Pak Chong (Reddish Brown Lateritic) soil limed to different pH values. A 4*3 factorial in randomized complete block design with 15N-fertilizers as ammonium sulfate (AS), potassium nitrate (PN) and urea (U) was used. Corn plants grown with no fertilizer and with the different forms of fertilizer showed similar growth and yields, Growing corn in the soil with pH 8.0 resulted in a lower grain yield than growing in soils with pH 5.0 and 6.5 were similar. However, percent FR in corn plants for PN (72 percent) was higher than those of AS (53.6 percent) and U (59.6 percent) in the soil with pH 8.0. The three forms of N fertilizer gave comparable leaching loss at all soil pH values though they gave higher leaching loss at higher soil pH values. At soil pH 8.0, the gaseous loss was higher than at soil pH 5.0 and 6.5 and the losses from AS (38.2 percent) and U (31.4 percent) were higher than that from PN (16.9 percent). percent FR in soil for PN was considerably high in comparison to those for AS and U in all soil pH levels tested.
