The seed is source of life for human, and for all other living creatures. As such it is exposed to various unfavourable conditions, and most of all to harmful organisms. Sometimes losses due to onset of diseases can lead to drastic decrease of yield; the losses are about 10 on the average. The greatest number of harmful organisms belongs to fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Changes appearing on seed due to harmful organisms can vary from total destruction of seed to change of colour, or decreased germination capacity. Each country has it's own strict Law regulative which prevents introduction, and appearance of harmful organisms inside the country, or it uses the regulative to diminish the consequences caused by disease provokers. The Law regulative relating to plant protection is satisfactory and the best one in the field of total seed science.
