Use of plant mitogenic compounds in veterinary medicine

Behaviour pattern in domestic animals, as a part of the mission of our team, via some haematological and biochemical parameters, was observed. This was with aim of finding objective data which could be useful for welfare evaluation, according to health state and behaviour in the animals in conditions of increased metabolism caused with parenteral administration of Helleborus odorus, varietas Ovcepoliense extract. These investigations could be useful as basis of further studies and finding of practical methods which obtain simple and effective evaluation of the health state during selection of breeding animals, and also methods for therapy and prevention of some diseases and cases which ethiopathogenesis in veterinary medicine is still not evaluated enough. Practically, motivation for working on such a project were various clinical signs of chronic and recurrent infections, chronic retardation (runting, e.g. growth impairment). diarrhoea, hepatosplenomegalia, abscesses, arthritis, osteoporosis, epyphysiolysis, apophysiolysis, nasal conches atrophy, dystrophy of muscle tissues (so called white, soft and watery muscles - WSM), idiotypic endocrinopathia, and hypersensitive and hyposensitive immune states and diseases.
