Jarak, M.(Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Serbia and Montenegro)) | Djuric, S. | Najdenovska, O.
Microbiological activity in the soil depends on characteristics of soil, kinds of plant, agrotechnical measures etc. The aim of the investigation was to examine the effect of soil compaction and plant variety on the microbial activity (total number of microorganisms, azotobacter, and dehydrogenase activity). The total number of microorganisms and number of azotobacter decrease in the soil on headlands. Dehydrogenase activity was similarity in the central soil and on headlands. The number and activity of microorganisms were the highest in rhizospheric soil under wheat.
