Citrus leaf miner Phyllocnistis citrella is presented in all citrus producing area in Montenegro (the seaside belt from Ulcinj to Herzeg Novi, Podgorica and its surrounding area). Its presence there was also determined in all species and varieties of Citrus spp., Fortunella sp. and Poncirus sp. Symptoms of infestation includes: leaves with serpentine mines which are always present on newly formed leaves, usually on lower surface, but in cases of severe infestations could be presented on upper surface as also as on shoots. Besides serpentine mines characteristic symptoms are curling and twisting of infested leaves and silveryshined apperiance of attacked leaves. Chrisalidation and popae chamber are usually formed near the leave margin, the end of which is rolled over popation place. Damages of leaves and shoots causes larvae which are vitaly related for the space between cuticle and epidermis. During its feeding with liquid content of epidermical cells larvae causes irretrievable damages of this layer.
