Trioza hirsute, a gallinaceous insect caused leafroll, epiphyllous inrolling galls on the leaves of Terminalia tomentosa. Most of the gall formation occurred during July to October at an average temperature 27ñ2øC and 70ñ5% R.H. Maximum six and minimum one gall found on a leaf and up to 72 nymphs in one gall and 176 on on e leaf were observed. The diapause occurred in egg stage from November to late April. There were 2-4 generations in a year. Two braconid parasitoid were observed parasitizing the older nymphs.
