Practical use of regenerated plants of chrysanthemum cv. 'Shuho-no-Chikara' from multiple via shoot culture was investigated. 1. The acclimatization of plants from multiple shoots was easy and grew enough in container culture. The regenerated plants formed 3.6 winter sucker per plant in the next autumn. 2. There was no mutant among the plants from multiple shoots in natural culture, light culture and twice cutting culture. The morphological and ecological characteristics of the plants from multiple shoots were the same as those of the plant from shoot tip culture. 3. The regenerated plants were flowered normally for flower cuttings. Therefore, propagation by multiple shoots is profitable to mass and rapid production of superior lines of chrysanthemum.
