Varietal ecotype of new varieties and lines of wheat [Triticum aestivum] and its adaptability to Aichi prefecture

We examined the adaptability to Aichi Pref. of the early maturing wheat, Iwainodaichi, Ayahikari and Aichi No. 6 and Chikugoizumi. There were developed for central and western Japan. The maturity stage of Iwainodaichi is three days earlier than that of Nourin No.61. The yield and quality of Iwainodaichi were better than that of Nourin No.61. It's degree of winter habit is IV, we could culture Iwainodaichi with seeding the last ten days of October without receiving frost damage. From now on, the stability of pre-harvest sprouting resistance, the milling properties and noodle-making qualities need to be investigated.
