We developed a method of new cultivation for a leek. This cultivation method gives all the necessary fertilizer to rhizosphere of a leek as a basal fertilizer by using a coating fertilizer. As for this cultivation method, around 20% were able to reduce a quantity of use of fertilizer compared with a traditional cultivation method. However, the quantity of crop of a leek increased in around 1.3 times compared with a traditional cultivation method. In clayey soil, as for the use efficiency of the nitrogenous fertilizer which they gave to a leek, around 25% improved compared with a traditional cultivation method. On the other hand, in sandy soil, as for the use efficiency of the nitrogenous fertilizer which they gave to a leek, around 18% improved compared with a traditional cultivation method. In addition, in clayey soil, as for the use efficiency of the phosphate fertilizer which they gave to a leek, around 15% improved compared with a traditional cultivation method, and I compared the use efficiency of the potassium fertilizer which I gave to a leek with a conventional cultivation method, and around 34% improved.
