Summary The Microarray Project of MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan) was started in April 1999. Results of microarray experiments should be confirmed by another experimental method, such as RT-PCR. Here we describe the protocols of real-time RT-PCR methods for confirming results by cDNA microarray. Also we present an example for validation of cDNA microarray results. The protocols will help the researchers to validate data from microarray experiments and to understand the details on procedure of real-time RT-PCR.
