Research was carried out at the Training and Research Farm Vecauce of the Latvia Agriculture University. The studies included 75 Latvian brown cow's in different lactation. The aim of the research was to analyse relationship between linear scored udder traits and somatic cell count (SCC) in milk. Fist lactation cows characterised by relatively low somatic cell counts in milk (3.2), that was significantly lower than SCC of older cows (p0.05). Results of udder linear scores traits confirm, that comparing to older cows, first three lactation cows' udder's depth and teats length significantly decreased (p0.05). Coefficients of phenotypic correlation for the observed udder conformation traits and SCC in milk were statistically different (at p0.05, p0.01), ranging between rp
