Distribution channel alternative strategy as one of management improvement aspects in Latvian country-side

Basing on LR Ministry of Economy (ME) Statement on development of Latvian national economy, industry is considered as one of the most important spheres of Latvian national economy. The significant place is also occupied by development of agricultural production for which promotion the strategic solutions for further development of national economy are very important as those may increase the competitiveness of product in the sphere. In the process of this research the authors have drawn out one of hypothesis - the exactness of distribution channel strategy choice shall define the positive solution of the problem. Making strategic decisions, discussed in the article, for market distribution of products manufactured by use of distribution channel strategy, is considered as one of possibilities for increasing of commercial companies competitiveness as well as the objective of the research described in the article. For the purpose of more valuable analysis of the objective discussed in the article, the authors solve the following tasks: the existing situation; summarizing of distribution channels functions and strategic characteristics; determination of channel strategy option possibilities defining possible control strategies in channels, the process of evaluation and criteria; advice for possible conflict management strategy in distribution channels. The methods of economical statistics, comparison and grouping have been used in the research included in the article.
