Influence of irrigation and mineral fertilization on small bean and white lupine yield and weeds in the canopy
2001
Podsiadlo, C. | Karczmarczyk, S.
This study concerned 4-year field experiments on a sandy soil of good-rye-soil-complex, in Szczecin lowland region. It was shown that yield of small bean and lupine seeds was significantly related to rain totals in the vegetation season, and also from May to July. Both the supplemental irrigation and mineral fertilization modified the weedness of the fields. The number of the present species was from 16 in small bean, to 20 in white lupine, the dominant species were: Echinochloa crus galli, Viola arvensis, Chenopodium album, Polugonum convolvulus, Galinsoga parviflora. Both the irrigation and fertilization caused a decrease of the number and dry matter of weeds
