The paper covers the content and uptake of macroelements (N, P, K, Ca, Mg) in the above-ground biomass of winter wheat and weeds as influenced by different crop sequence and herbicides. Winter wheat was grown in six-course crop-rotation: sugar beet - maize - spring barley - peas - winter rape - winter wheat and in 26-28-year-long monoculture. Weeds were controlled with Quartz Super 550 EC or Cougar 600 SCon control plots no herbicides were used. The concentration of macroelements at rye flowering stage both in above-ground biomass of rye and weeds was the highest in the case of K and N, lower in case of P and Ca, and the lowest in case of Mg. Herbicides in monoculture had an indirect effect on accumulation of macroelements through the change of floristic composition of weeds
