Investigation of bee diseases in beekeeping enterprice in Hatay province

In this study honeybee diseases and parasites were investigated from 5730 colonies in 11 districts, 51 villages of Hatay province. The results show that all investigated district were infected with Varroa mite. Also all districts were infected with foulbrood disease except Hassa and Altinozu district. On the other hand, Nosema diseases were detected in all districts. It was determined that, beekeepers were aware of all diseases related honeybee colonies, but do not have enough knowledge in terms of protection, control and treatment
