Study one use of some herbal insecticides to control layer's ectoparasites was conducted. Nine layers were controllers to calculated percent of ectoparacites which were not a treatment and 135 layers were divided into 15 groups of 9 animals each (3 animals per replication). A completely randomized design (CRD) was used for the study. Each group of layers was randomly treated with 3 herbal insecticides: derris (Derris elliptica benth); neem (Azadirachta siamensis) and citronella grass (Cymbopogon nardus L.) with each concentration 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 percent. The results of the study indicated that extermination efficiency on layer ectoparasites (lice, flea and mites) in all concentration of citronella grass were lower than derris and neem significantly (P0.05). However 20 percent of neem is economically application considering to efficacy and cost of control.
