Studies on the different planting methods of sugarcane production; no-Tillage, minimum tillage and conventional tillage have been carried out in the farmer field at Kamphaengsaen, Nakhon Pathom during March 1997-February 1998. The results indicated that the growth of sugarcane, plant height, apical weight, number of millable cane were not different among the different planting methods, but the number of tiller was slightly higher in no-tillage plot than that of others. And yield was also not different. Weed species and density of grasses and sedges were less observed in on-Tillage than that of conventional tillage. The results in the first ratoon showed that the yield and yield components are the same as the first year, but the yield of sugarcane from no-tillage treatment seem to be slightly higher than that of the others.
